Christmastide 2011
Dear Friends,
Did you ever catch yourself complaining about small things during the holidays? Does, "Why does this have to happen to me now?" sound familiar? How about, "If these lines were any longer, they'd be out the door."? Or even, "Your relatives are coming again?". It's easy to become cynical and distracted, but things could be far worse. For instance:
- You could be living in a country occupied by an oppressive foreign power
- You could walk for days just for the 'privilege' of paying more taxes
- You could be traveling with a pregnant wife who's ready to deliver at any moment
- Your son could be born in a barn, his first bed a feeding trough and first outfit strips of cloth
- You could be told that it's not safe to return to your home and to travel to an unfamiliar land
Christmas encourages us to look beyond our small annoyances to the things that really matter. When we do that, superficial things fade and the true gifts of faith, hope and love emerge. Common frustrations give way to uncommon good news that brings a fresh perspective.
Thank you for your valued business that has contributed to a successful year at Jos. T. Fewkes & Co. We appreciate every time you contacted us for quality electrical products in 2011. Hopefully we've earned your confidence with every opportunity.
I trust you and yours will have a wonderful and meaningful holiday and a happy and healthy New Year.
Sincerely,
Raymond E. Gillin
President
