Cutler Hammer Electrical Contacts versus Repco Replacement Contacts
The nearly hundred-year-old Cutler-Hammer company was acquired by Eaton Corporation in 1978. The addition of the Cutler-Hammer brand continued the expansion of Eaton’s legacy contactor lines such as Powerware and Moeller.
The Cutler-Hammer company pioneered many firsts in motor control. In 1901 the company designed the original control equipment for the Panama Canal. It obtained over 28 patents related to control and heavy current equipment. Since its acquisition by Eaton, the Cutler-Hammer line of electrical contacts continues to manufacture motor controls.
Repco offers OEM equivalent electrical contacts
While Repco, founded in 1976, can’t match the pedigree of Cutler-Hammer, or the robust offerings of Eaton, what Repco manufactures is replacement contacts for existing and discontinued Cutler-Hammer motor controls. Repco reverse engineers their replacement contacts so they match the OEM’s. Their replacement electrical contacts are manufactured and tested extensively to ensure they match the original’s form, fit, and function precisely.
Repco inventories replacement Cutler-Hammer electrical contacts for: Series A1 - Citation Line, Series B1, Freedom Series, Old Style, DC contactors and 9141 compensators. Most Cutler-Hammer replacement contact kits are stock items and are available for immediate delivery.
